Intelligence isn’t just one thing — it comes in many forms. According to Howard Gardner’s model, there are 9 types of intelligence, each with its own unique strengths:
1. Linguistic Intelligence (Word Smart) – sensitivity to language, reading, writing, storytelling
2. Logical-Mathematical Intelligence (Number/Reasoning Smart)– logic, pattern recognition, problem-solving
3. Spatial Intelligence (Picture Smart) – visual thinking, design, 3D modeling
4. Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence (Body Smart) – movement, sports, hands-on work
5. Musical Intelligence (Music Smart) – sound, rhythm, pitch
6. Interpersonal Intelligence (People Smart) – empathy, communication, teamwork
7. Intrapersonal Intelligence (Self Smart) – self-awareness, reflection, emotional insight
8. Naturalistic Intelligence (Nature Smart) – understanding nature, animals, weather
9. Existential Intelligence (Big Questions Smart) – abstract, spiritual, and philosophical thinking

Here's where it gets exciting: We often combine different types of intelligence in real-life situations — like using Linguistic Intelligence with Emotional Intelligence for emotional expression through words (emotional verbal skills).
Now imagine this applied to AI.
We’ve already trained LLMs (Large Language Models) that reflect linguistic intelligence. By integrating this with emotional intelligence cues (tone, context, empathy), if we can extract both intelligences then it may open the door to developing Artificial Emotional Intelligence (AEI).
