Self-driving vehicles are still a big challenge. Because it is very expensive and has a lot of things to concern in self-driving. This developing physical AI field is still used in some countries. But it isn’t stable right now. Because we have to consider other areas as well. It’s not only used in the digital world anymore but also in the analogue world or real world. In the real world in AV, the exciting things should be achieved, and unexperienced or unpredicted things should be achieved never before. The exciting things are like a strong, stable internet connection, AI that can be manipulated or hacked, age limits or driving experience, and accuracy of data. The unpredictable things, like weather updates, crashes or accidents, responses to police agents, managing road codes, etc.
There must be a strong internet connection. Because AV is used IoT (internet of things) to manage real-world entities like road maps, weather reports, etc. The AV can be manipulated or hacked by an intruder. Because it is a digital and IoT entity. Then there will be security issues in the outside world. The age limit or driving experience is not required unless it has to be manually overridden. Then children, patients or very mature adults can drive or manage the AV. It has some advantages and disadvantages as well. The data should be accurate to select road maps to go forward. Because there is a lot of fake data on the internet.
As unpredictable things like face-to-weather updates are a huge problem. Because it can cancel the road tour or has to get a new decision from AV or AI. There will be crashes unpredictably from the other vehicles (third party) while AV stops the road or in the neutral states. Also, the AI must respond to the police agents that AV experienced the driving in the road issues/accidents (not only for human-driver supervisors or passengers) and also manage the road codes as well, etc. These are the few major problems that have to be solved in AV developments to get a more stable AV industry.
